About Arun B. Jesudian, M.D.
Dr. Arun Jesudian is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and a Transplant Hepatologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ, where he currently serves as the Director of Liver Quality and Inpatient Liver Services. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
He earned his BA from the University of Virginia where he was an Echols scholar and his MD from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College as well as advanced fellowship training in Transplant Hepatology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University.
Dr. Jesudian’s clinical and research focus is in improving the outcomes of patients with cirrhosis and particularly those who require hospitalization. He serves on several national committees where he has been tasked with developing practice guidelines and quality measures pertaining to liver disease. He has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials and a frequently invited speaker. Dr. Jesudian has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and serves on the editorial board of the journal Liver Transplantation. An avid medical educator, he has mentored many medical students, residents and fellows in Hepatology. He has also received honorary fellowships from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (FAASLD), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF) and the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG).
