About Aida Saliby, M.D.
Dr. Aida Saliby currently serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College and Director of Endocrinology at the New York-Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital. She treats various endocrine disorders and Diabetes. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Diplomate in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
She is an enthusiastic and energetic clinician and has special interest in thyroid cancer and disorders, and wide experience in the management of multiple endocrine diseases, particularly diabetes mellitus and PCOS.
Dr Saliby started her medical studies at The Lebanese University then The American University of Beirut. She then pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Baylor College of Medicine where she focused her research on familial thyroid cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also trained in Internal Medicine at UT-Houston Medical Center and at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ-New York Presbyterian Internal Medicine programs, following which she became certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine and a Diplomate in Endocrinology, Diabetes and metabolism.
She joined Beth Israel Medical Center and the Albert Einstein Faculty in 2003 where she practiced and actively participated in the teaching of residents and fellows until 2016. During her career at Beth Israel, she conducted several clinical trials in diabetes and heart disease and diabetes and obesity. She also had a busy clinic for thyroid cancer at New York Eye and Ear, treating for 11 years over 400 patients. Dr Saliby joined the ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ faculty and New York Presbyterian Hospitals in July 2016. She serves as the Director of the Endocrinology Services at the Lower Manhattan Campus and sees patients in both the Lower Manhattan and the Upper East Side offices.
Her interests remain in thyroid disease and thyroid cancer in particular, as well as in Diabetes and Metabolic diseases.
