Dr. Eric G. Nelson is a Supervisor for the Audiology Department in the Hearing and Speech Center, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ, New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Eric G. Nelson received his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from Hofstra University, where he also earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Speech-Language-Hearing Science. He is a licensed Audiologist and hearing aid dispenser through the New York State Department of Education, and he holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
As an Audiology Supervisor at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ, Dr. Nelson coordinates the audiology resident program and manages the Audiology Hearing Aid Department, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and fostering professional development among staff and students. His clinical expertise includes diagnosing and treating hearing loss, vestibular assessment, bone conduction implantable devices, hearing conservation, aural rehabilitation, and the evaluation, fitting, and management of hearing aids.
Dr. Nelson is dedicated to treating each patient with compassion and care, providing personalized and comprehensive audiological services tailored to their individual needs. He has presented nationally at conferences on audiology resident supervision and has served on several ASHA committee boards, contributing to the advancement of the field.
