About Gloria C. Chiang, M.D.
Gloria Chia-Yi Chiang, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist specializing in Neuroradiology. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College and Associate Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Campus.
Dr. Chiang earned her B.A., with Highest Honors, in economics from Princeton University and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa society before graduating in 2002. She then attended Harvard Medical School and was awarded her M.D. degree in 2006.
Dr. Chiang did a transitional internship year at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA before completing a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center (UCSF). While at UCSF, she received an NIH/NIBIB Clinician-Scientist in Biomedical Imaging T32 training grant and the award for Best Oral Paper at the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR) annual meeting in 2012. She was recruited to join the ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ radiology faculty in August 2012.
Dr. Chiang's clinical expertise is in Neuroradiology. She interprets a variety of neuroradiologic studies (MRI, CT, PET) involving the brain, spine, and head/neck, and she also performs interventional procedures, including fluoroscopic and CT-guided lumbar punctures and myelograms.
Dr. Chiang has an active research program, focused on multimodal imaging of neurodegenerative diseases and brain tumors. She currently serves as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on several studies funded by the National Institutues of Health. She also serves on the edutorial boards of the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR) and the Journal of Neuroimaging (JON).
In addition to clinical and research activities, Dr. Chiang is an active educator of residents, neuroradiology fellows, and medical students.
