About Mark Hanscom, MD
Dr. Hanscom is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ and an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical Center.
Dr. Hanscom is a physician specializing in gastroenterology with advanced training in complex endoscopic procedures. His areas of expertise include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and bariatric endoscopy.
Dr. Hanscom received his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. He then pursued an additional year of specialized training in Advanced Endoscopy at Mayo Clinic Rochester, where he learned to perform complex endoscopic procedures. His clinical and research interests include treatment of diseases of the pancreas and biliary tract, as well as the endoscopic treatment of obesity.
