About Maya Elise Hartman, M.D.
Maya E. Hartman, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Women’s Imaging and Body Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College and Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Campus.
Dr. Hartman earned her B.S. from Brown University in 2003. She received her M.D. degree from ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College in 2009, while earning her M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania in 2008.
Following a transitional internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (2009-2010), Dr. Hartman completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology (2010-2014) at NewYork Presbyterian – ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical Center. As resident house staff, she was awarded the ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical Center Alumni Council Distinguished Housestaff award in 2013 and the MSKCC Most Outstanding Resident award 2011-2012. She remained at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College for a year of fellowship training in Breast and Body Imaging and Interventions. Dr. Hartman joined the ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College Department of Radiology faculty in August 2015.
Dr. Hartman’s clinical expertise is in Women’s Imaging and Body Imaging. She interprets a variety of studies including CT, MRI, PET, ultrasound, and mammography. Dr. Hartman’s research interests include clinical issues/topics related to breast cancer screening. In addition to clinical and research activities, Dr. Hartman is an active and involved teacher of residents, fellows, and medical students.
