Biographical Info

Michael Segal, DO, is a vascular surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ.

His practice includes the full spectrum of vascular disease, including treatment associated with dialysis access, carotid and aortic pathologies as well as peripheral arterial disease (PAD), through the use of endovascular and open surgical techniques. He has an interest in utilizing emerging and advanced endovascular approaches to treat patients and ensure they are receiving top level care.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, Dr. Segal earned his medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, NY. He completed the general surgery residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, followed by the vascular surgery fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. Having been born and raised in New York and completing his training in the area, he is intimately familiar with the patients and care in the area.

Dr. Segal has been involved in clinical research within the field of vascular surgery. He has authored in peer-reviewed journals, written 2 book chapters as well as presenting at regional medical conferences. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
