About Moeun Son, MD
"Most of the time, as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician, I am caring for at least two patients: the pregnant woman and her fetus. I believe that this is a great responsibility, and I always try to fulfill my role with humility and gratitude for the patients who put their trust in me."
Dr. Moeun Son is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, she cares for women with high-risk pregnancies. Pregnancy can be complex due to preexisting maternal conditions, babies with anomalies or growth issues, or complications that may develop, such as preterm labor or preeclampsia. Her clinical practice involves caring for these high-risk patients throughout their pregnancies, including during labor and delivery. She also performs detailed ultrasounds and procedures for prenatal diagnosis.
Dr. Son received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center after serving as Administrative Chief Resident. She then completed a three-year fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, during which she also earned her master's degree in Scientific Clinical Investigation. Dr. Son is the Principal Investigator on many clinical research projects, including randomized clinical trials. Dr. Son’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health (R01), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (CERSI grant), as well as foundational funding. She serves as the Program Director of the MFM Fellowship Program at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ and is strongly committed to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
