Personal Statement

I am passionate about medical dermatology and feel that my expertise in dermatopathology allows me to approach patient care with a unique, comprehensive perspective, helping to integrate clinical and pathological insights to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment effectiveness. 

Above all, I am deeply committed to clear, open communication, and to ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and empowered to take part in the decision-making process.

Biographical Info

Dr. Marchalik graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College, Columbia University. She obtained her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During her time in medical school, she was accepted into a highly prestigious one-year fellowship at the National Institutes of Health as a part of the Medical Research Scholars Program. She completed her Dermatology residency and fellowship in Dermatopathology at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Marchalik’s interests include general dermatology with a focus on complex medical dermatology, cutaneous lymphoma, and alopecia (hair loss).
