About Steven Pon, M.D.
“As the pediatric intensivist, I lead a team of professionals dedicated to providing the best possible care for all patients in the pediatric intensive care unit. This team includes the nurses, fellows, physician’s assistants, residents, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists, social workers, and child-life specialists in the ICU and all the medical and surgical subspecialists who refer or consult on the patients there. The team’s most important members include the patient and her/his family members. They are encouraged to participate in our family-centered rounds, and I pay particular attention to addressing the questions and concerns they may have.”
