The Program for Intelligent Image-Guided Interventions is a multidisciplinary team of experts from Interventional Radiology, Colorectal Surgery and Population Health to dedicate the improvement of diagnosing and treating diseases.

We are here to provide innovative treatment options with advanced image guided procedures and surgeries including but not limited to:

Fistula Management and Closure:

A fistula is a rare connection between two organs. Interventions are focused on managing and treating abnormal connections between organs or vessels so our doctors use a variety of treatment tactics including drain placement, fistula tract sealing or tissue repair.

Stoma Creation and Management:

The surgical formation or management of stomas for bowel or urinary diversion with the use of 3D Imaging and Augmented Reality.

Excisional Biopsy:

The capture of tissue samples including small tumors or abnormal growths to examine and diagnosis accurately.

Balloon Enteroscopy:

Innovative technique for the usage of balloon catheters to dilate or expand narrowed areas within the gastrointestinal tract to relieve obstruction.

Hybrid Surgical Repairs and Resections:

Surgical techniques that brings together expert knowledge of Colorectal Surgery and Interventional Radiology.

Advanced Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures

Advanced endoscopic diagnostic procedures with the usage of specialized imaging to address the target area.
