About Victoria Harrison, M.D.
Dr. Victoria Chan Harrison is a physiatrist and physician, an Assistant Professor in Rehabilitation Medicine at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College. Dr. Harrison graduated Magna Cum Laude from Barnard College and received her medical degree from New York Medical College.
Dr. Harrison completed her residency training at New York-Presbyterian Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell in rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Harrison has a wealth of clinical experience in the treatment of a large variety of cases. She has expertise in treating a variety of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.
Dr. Harrison approaches patient care has a multi-disciplinary focus on recovery which includes a traditional treatment approach while incorporating evidenced based alternative medicine practices. She will evaluate a patient from different points of view and incorporates biomechanics, alignment, activity modifications as well as techniques for lifetime management. “My goal is to empower my patients by educating them on their condition and offer them methods to break the pain cycle to manage their injury.”
Dr. Harrison utilizes up to date minimally invasive treatments including prolotherapy, trigger point injections, ultrasound guided injections, and regenerative injections such as platelet rich plasma.
Dr. Harrison has additional training in medical acupuncture at the David Geffen School of Medicine.
Dr. Harrison has been honored as Super Doctors New York for the past several years, which represents the top New York doctors in more than 30 specialties that have been fully licensed for over 10 years.
