Personal Statement

The field of pediatrics has opened many possibilities for advancement over the many years of its existence. Although our population of patients pose a challenge to many providers, I have often welcomed this challenge. Children are resilient and it brings me joy to be a part of their healthcare.

Biographical Info

Dr. Uy earned his medical degree from the Royal Pontifical University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines - one of the most prestigious institutions in the country. He then moved to the United States and completed his pediatric residency training at SBH Health System in the Bronx and was retained as a chief resident and attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Room. His clinical interests involve urgent and emergent care of sick children and adolescents. He also have interests in medical education, quality improvement and community outreach.
